The management of the Akim State University College has released the Admission Requirements for the Student of the institution.
The Akim State University College Students applying to Undergraduates, Postgraduate, Diploma, Masters programs, etc must meet the following criteria in order to be considered for admission.
Akim State University College Admission Requirements
Applicants must obtain at least a D (4) in six subjects. (C6) in six WASSCE subjects (3 core and 3 elective subjects respectively). Applicants must obtain at least a D (4) in six subjects. A minimum aggregate score of 24.
General / Minimum Requirements
WASSCE/SSSCE/GBCE holders who have credit passes (A1-C6/A-D) in the following -Three (3) Core Subjects: English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science plus credits in Three Elective Subjects with an aggregate score of 36 or better for WASSCE/ 24 or better for SSSCE/ GBCE 6 credits.
Candidates who have written the May/June WASSCE Exams are eligible to apply as awaiting results applicants.
GCE A’ Level Applicants
Applicants must have passes in three (3) subjects in Business, General Arts or Science (at least one of which should be Grade D or better). Also, applicants must have passes (Grade 6 or better) in five (5) GCE ‘O’ Level subjects including English Language, Mathematics and Science (for non- Science students) and an Arts subject for Science students.
Other Applicants
Applicants holding stage 1 of ACCA, CIB, ICA, ICSA or CIM, Foundation I of Chartered Institute of Administration and Management Consultants (CIAMC) must, in addition, have six (6) credits at WASSCE and six (6) passes at SSSCE in three Core Subjects and three (3) Electives or five (5) credits at “O” Level including English Language and Mathematics. Applicants in this category shall be admitted at Level 100.
