The Office of Neighbourhood Safety, based in the Mayorโs Office of Criminal Justice, is recruiting youth and young adults to work with policymakers and communities to reimagine NYCโs safety. This initiative is dedicated to lifting youth experiences to improve safety and wellbeing in key NYC HA developments and New York City.

The council will take place over the course of nine (9) months (March through November 2023 and last approximately 36 weeks). Members will participate in Council activities ~2 times per week (max 4 hours/week), during which time members will work with the Office of Neighbourhood Safety, CUNY Intergenerational Change Initiative, the Center for Court Innovation, and other partners.
Benefits
- Participants will receive a monthly stipend of $400.

- Open to youth and young adults in New York City;
- No prior experience is needed. Youโll shape policies and programs, advocate for real change, amplify youth voices, and learn skills along the way.
