The Fuel Depot Supervisor has the ultimate responsibility of stewarding Fuel depot operations in receipt of product, storage and dispensing of the same as per Internal Process guidelines.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out analysis to establish trends and explore opportunities and initiatives to reduce the company’s cost of sales and deliver quality & timely products as per Standard Procedures;
- Foster the implementation, a comprehensive and cost-effective equipment maintenance program by Engineering to reduce depot down-time and support the customers adequately.
- Ensure secure, safe and environmentally friendly storage of all company and hospitality products.
- Daily stock reconciliation for White products, lubricants and LPG to ensure visibility at all times.
- Maintain client relationships- Hospitality to ensure superior customer experience;
- Foster routine maintenance checks in conjunction with Engineering team to ensure equipment reliability. Escalate to management if issues are not attended to.
- Conduct regular checks on third-party Depots to ensure proper reconciliation of funds transferred Vs Volume throughput.
- Provide safe custody of company and third-party products (hospitality) in accordance with the laid down procedures and guidelines;
- Grow the hospitality business by maintaining excellent after sales customer services to all the company’s clients;
- Submit to client’s timely stock positions after both loading and offloading events;
- Develop annual budgets for the depot in accordance with the planned overall business objectives;
- Prepare periodic stock forecasts and performance reports with recommendations to the HDD and CMT to ensure enough volume is at hand to serve orders;
- Manage the performance and development of subordinate staff;
- Ensure compliance to all group policies and guidelines;
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Any professional course as an added advantage.
- One year of experience in an Engineering field or any fuel related field.
- Have adequate knowledge in Mechanics and Computer.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks & deadlines with a proactive approach
- Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
- Good problem-solving skills and professional scepticism.
