Frederik van Zyl Slabbert Biography 1940 – 2010

Frederik van Zyl Slabbert was a South African political analyst, businessman and politician. He is best known for having been the leader of the official opposition – the Progressive Federal Party – in the House of Assembly from 1979 to 1986.

Nelson Mandela changed South Africa and the world through his extraordinary work as a civil rights activist, non-violent revolutionary, and leader who shaped a new South Africa.
