UJ Cost of Attendance (CoA)

The Cost of Attendance for a student is an estimate (budget) of a student’s educational expenses for the academic year/period of enrolment at UJ.

This estimate is what defines your financial need which is what the school uses to determine your loan eligibility amount.

Below is a breakdown of how much an average student might require per academic year, this list is not exhaustive but provides basic guidelines subjected to your program of choice.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Applicable ONLY to cash-paying students owing R20 000,00 and above for the 2024 Academic year.
  • The 7% discount is applicable in respect of only the 2024 academic fees, As such the following are excluded
    • Bursary funded students
    • NSFAS funded students
    • Cash Paying student owing less than R20 000,00
  • The discount will not be applicable if your student account was settled before 30 September 2024,
  • Fees must be settled in full between 1 October 2024 – 31 October 2024, in order to qualify for the discount.
  • The 7% discount to be reversed if payment was done by a sponsor/ Bursary
