ISBAT University Requirements
UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN COMPUTER ENGINEERING (BS-CE)
Eligibility Criteria
The minimum entry requirements for admission to a Bachelor of Science – Computer Engineering —
(i) Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with 5 credits; AND Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent with at least 2 Principal passes obtained at the same sitting, with Mathematics or Physics as one of the Principal Pass subjects.
(iii) International students must produce the equivalency certificates from UNEB, equating their foreign qualifications as equivalent to (i) and (ii) above.
(iv) Students of HEC (Physical Sciences) with minimum score of class ii credit obtained from an accredited University shall also be considered after assessment of their previous awards.
(v) Diploma with minimum score of Class II Credit in a similar stream shall be considered for credit exemptions after assessment of their previous awards.
POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMS
MASTERS OF SCIENCE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Eligibility Criteria
For Direct Entry
Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE); and At least 2 Principal passes at Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent, obtained at the same sitting Successful completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with minimum of 50% marks from a recognized University.
For Lateral Entry to Semester 2
All the above (i) to (iv) criteria
(ii) UG Degree in BBA or equivalent as assessed in (a) (iii) above
(iii) 2 years of work experience in any organization
ISBAT University General Requirements
- New email address
- ID number Or passport number.
- Application fee.
- Supporting Documents: You’ll need your:
- Certified copy of your ID
- Parent’s/guardian’s ID
- Exam results
- Proof of residence
- Most recent payslip NEVER sends the original documents.
THINGS TO NOTE
Before Applying to the ISBAT University there are important things to know:

- Online vs. Postage/Courier: Some universities use an online application system, while others only accept hard copies. Some offer both. Take this into account when starting the application process.
- Make Sure all Details are Correct: Fill in your application form slowly and double-check your details before submitting online. If you fill out a hardcopy, use a pencil before filling it out with a blue or black pen.
- Pay the Application Fee: Make sure of the required amount, pay it to the school account. Never post it. Send the university proof of payment if it’s required.
- Acceptance: You will be sent a formal email or letter to inform you of your acceptance. Remember to continue working hard and pay the minimum initial payment by the due date.
- Apply on Time: Some ISBAT University qualifications have limited spaces available. Meeting the general and / specific admission requirements for a qualification does not guarantee that you will be offered a space for the 2023 academic year.
