Uploading documents to complete your application to CPUT can be done in two main scenarios: during the initial online application or after the application has been submitted.

How to Upload Documents During the Initial Online Application
Make sure you have all the required documents in the specified format (usually PDF, JPEG, TIFF, or GIF, less than 2MB, and not in MS Word or Excel format). You can find the list of required documents on the CPUT website for your specific program.
Start Your CPUT Online Application:
- Go to the CPUT online application portal and begin the application process.
- During the application, you’ll be prompted to upload specific documents at designated points. Make sure to select the correct document for each prompt.
- Once you’ve uploaded all required documents, carefully review your application and ensure everything is correct before submitting.
How to Upload Documents After the Application Has Been Submitted
If your status still shows “Outstanding Documents” that means that you have not uploaded all the required documents OR you have mistakenly uploaded a wrong file, you can upload them through the CPUT Self-Service System (SOS).
- Go to the CPUT SOS website and log in using your student number and password.
- Once logged in, find the section for uploading outstanding documents. This might be named “Outstanding Documents” or something similar.
- Choose the document you want to upload, select the file from your computer, and click “Upload”.
- Continue uploading any other required documents in the same way.
- Once you’ve uploaded all the documents, save your changes and exit the SOS system.
