The management of the Data Link University College has released the Admission Requirements for the Student of the institution.

The Data Link University College Students applying to Undergraduates, Postgraduate, Diploma, Masters programs, etc must meet the following criteria in order to be considered for admission.

Data Link University College Admission Requirements

The Admission Management of the Data Link University College (DLI) has released the Admission Form for 2023/2024 Academic year online. Applicants must obtain at least a D (4) in six subjects. In addition, they must have passed in 3 subjects, one of the passes should be Grade D or better at the ´A´ Levels.

General / Minimum Requirements

Undergraduate Programmes

To be enrolled on any of the Bachelor Programmes of Data Link Institute of Business and Technology, a prospective candidate will be expected to possess one of the following qualifications in categories A to H:

WASSCE/SSSCE Applicants.

Candidates possessing WASSCE and SSSCE should have Credits in three (3) Core Subjects that include English and Mathematics, and three (3) Credits in Elective Subjects.

WASSCE Candidates: Credits (A1-C6) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects that include English Language and Mathematics, plus three (3) elective subjects.

SSSCE Candidates: Credits (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects that include English and Mathematics, plus three (3) elective subjects.

General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A) Candidates.

Passes in three (3) subjects (at least, one of the passes should be Grade D or better). Also, the applicant must have had credit passes (Grade 6) in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects including English, Mathematics and Science subject (for non-science students) and an Arts subject for (Science students).

Admission of Higher National Diploma (HND) Candidates to First Degree Programmes.

Applicant must have graduated with a good HND certificate, i.e. at least 2nd Class Lower Division). In addition, the applicant must have a minimum of 2 years of working experience after the HND. Applicants holding First Class HND in relevant subject areas would be admitted to Level 300 and others to Level 200 of the Programme.

Other Diploma qualifications assessed to be equivalent to HND by National Accreditation Board (NAB) requirements will be duly considered.

Advanced Business Certificate Examination (ABCE) Candidates

Passes in three (3) subjects (at least, one of the passes should be Grade D or better). Also, the applicant must have had credit passes in five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social Studies in the General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE).

Post-Secondary Teacher’s Certificate “A”

Holders of Post-Secondary Teacher’s Certificate “A” or the Diploma in Education should in addition, possess least credit passes in English (Core), Mathematics (Core) and Science (Core) at the WASSCE/SSSCE/GBCE or in the case of GCE O’ Level holders at least credit in English Language, Mathematics and any Science Subject.

Mature Students’ Entry

Mature students entry avenues to tertiary education provide opportunities for people who could not do so earlier in their lives to further their education at the tertiary level after some years in the workplace (preferably, the formal workplace).

The applicant must:

  • be at least 25 years old, and show proof of age with a birth certificate or any legitimate documentary proof of birth date which should be at least 5 years old at the time of application.
  • have worked for at least two years.
  • pass an Entrance Examination and an interview.

Direct Entry to Levels 200 and 300

Holders of University Diplomas and Professional Qualifications in relevant areas shall be considered for placement based on NAB Guidelines.

International Students

International students with qualifications equivalent to those above will be considered for admission. The equivalence of such qualification shall be determined by the National Accreditation Board.

International Students from non-English speaking countries would, in addition, be required to show evidence of proficiency in the English Language.
