The management of the Koforidua Technical University (KsTU) has released the Admission Requirements for the Student of the institution.
The Koforidua Technical University, KsTU Students applying to Undergraduates, Postgraduate, Diploma, Masters programs, etc must meet the following criteria in order to be considered for admission.
KsTU Admission Requirements
Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Applied Statistics (financial Statistics Option) – (2 Years Top-Up Programme)
- Applicants must have HND (First Class or Second Class Upper Division) in Statistics with a minimum of two years of working experience. Applicants with Second Class Lower Division will have to attend and pass an interview.
- Diploma qualifications from elsewhere assessed to be equivalent to HND may be similarly considered.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
Applicants with Higher National Diploma (HND) in the following areas with a minimum of 2nd Class Lower Division are eligible to apply:
- HND Computer Science
- HND Electricals/Electronics
- HND Computer Network Management
- Also, applicants with Electrical Engineering Technician Part III (EET III) may also apply
Bachelor of Science in Information Technology
Applicants with Higher National Diploma (HND) in the following areas with a minimum of 2nd Class Lower Division are eligible to apply:
- HND Information Technology
- HND Computerized Accounting/Marketing/Statistics/Secretaryship
- HND Computer Science
- HND Computer Network Management
- Other related qualifications in Computer Science/Engineering
Btech Hospitality and Tourism (top-Up)
- Higher National Diploma (HND) graduates of Hospitality Management or Tourism Management or Hotel Catering and Institutional Management and students transferring from similar programmes run at other tertiary institutions with a minimum of 2ndClass Lower Division may qualify to apply. Admission would be based on merits. OR
- Other HND graduates with a qualification not lower than a 2ndClass Lower with a minimum of 3 years working experience in hospitality or tourism-related field. OR
Other applicants with hospitality or tourism-related courses in a managerial position with 5 years of working experience may also apply.
Registration Requirements
- Applicants must have at least five (5) GBCE /GCE’O’-Level credit passes or five (5) GBCE passes including English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry plus a minimum of two (2) GCE ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry.
- Pre-HND and Electrical Engineering Technician (EET) Applicants.
