NOTE: the Vaal University of Technology has opened a small window of opportunity for late applications to selected programmes that still have available spaces from today, till the closing date
No applications will be accepted after then.

How to Register for VUT Second Semester Intake 2024/2025
The steps below are required of every student as it improves chances of acceptance into the 2024 academic session;
STEP 1
With the internet equipped with a rich connection, navigate to the VUT Online Application Portal.
Choose a qualification.
A non-refundable administration fee of R100.00 for application, and certified copies of your identity/passport document, Senior Certificate/National Senior Certificate, Proof of Payment for Administration fee and all other relevant documents must accompany this application
STEP 2
Select the academic Application Dropdown Menu to log in your student portal details, which are your “Student Number and Pin”.
Please note that South African applicants will need an ID number. Foreign applicants will need their passport numbers.
STEP 3
Get an Application form.
STEP 4
Complete your application form in full.
STEP 5
Attach all supporting documents.
STEP 6
Complete a student accommodation form if you need to. You may find the hard copy application form here.
After this step, it means that you are approaching a successful application process, keep following instructions and do the right thing.

If you meet the academic admission requirements for your qualification of choice, your minimum academic points score (APS) and the number of spaces available for the qualification for which you have applied.
NOTE: Should you not register for the 2024/2025 academic year, you will need to re-apply for admission during the next application period.
